Texas Tribune takes on Dallas immigration issue: 'Illegal' or 'Unauthorized'?

Two guest columnists of the Texas Tribune, Texas Rep. Jose Aliseda and immigration attorney and advocate, Ken Kowaski, each published pieces November 15, 2011, about an issue Dallas deals with daily - immigration:

There's not a doubt in the mind of any Dallasite just whom the illegal or unauthorized "thems" are who are referenced. After all, Dallas is home to a huge influx of either "illegal " or "unauthorized" or even "undocumented," and it's the choice of words, and their nuances, that is heating up as a peripheral controversial issue of immigration. Illegal immigration is a hot button issue even in Elections 2012, with Dallasite's Governor Rick Perry, Texas Dream Act, still boiling him in hot political waters.

Aliseda claims "illegal" is precisely the right word by definition - which he provides:
