Stamford, Connecticut -- In what may be a growing trend among Republicans trying to succeed George W. Bush in ’08, Fred Thompson last night put more distance between himself and the White House over the controversial immigration reform package now being debated in the Senate.

Fred, you're not fooling anyone, and pulling the same stunt mclamebrain mccain is won't get you conservative votes.
We're tired of the political double talk. Obviously these jokers forgot what it is like to be public servants.
Maybe he needs to watch "The Hunt for Red October" again, (seeing as he starred in it) especially the part where Richard Jordan talks to Jack (Alec) after their meeting with the joint chiefs. Anyone remember this scene? Richard Jordan said, "Listen, I'm a politician; which means when I'm not kissing babies, I'm stealing their lollypops, but, it also means I leave my options open."
Certainly does describe most politicians these days eh?"Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting the same results is the definition of insanity. " Albert Einstein.
