The drones are a good start as they can cover a lot of territory. Mccains amendment would have been good support to the drones because they could respond to breaches identified by the drones in overwhelming force both by vehcles and hellicopters. Imagine a group of illegals having 15 man military teams repelling out of a helicopter the moment they crossed the border. For the few that might escape back they would have a story to tell that should deter a few from making the crossing.

All the amendments introduced would serve to start closing the door but because of political grandstanding at the expense of citizens is all we get.

I hope voters remember this come election time and we see the tide change. I hope all that are in the middle of their re-election campaigns remember their tough stance on illegal aliens after the November elections should they win and not go back to a passive position on this until the next election.

Voting records are a crucial part to look at as we select our new representatives this fall so lets make sure to do our homework and then share our homework with other voters, family members, and friends as we encourage them to vote for people who support protecting our country.

Every sensible amendment the republicans offer gets turned down for no reason other than it was presented by the other side of the aisle. I am sick and tired of them calling the republicans the "party of no" because the dems are the ones turning everything down.
