DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- Protesters are pleading with the immigration service not to deport three of their friends who grew up in Florida.
The group protested outside the Immigration Detention Center in Deerfield Beach where 19-year-old Sarjina Emy and her two brothers, Shamsul Sana and Mahbubul Rumi are being held.
Their parents have already been sent back to Bangladesh for illegally entering the country 15 years ago, but Sarjina and her brothers are fighting their deportation orders. "It's a whole generation of children that have no choice in coming here, that were brought here by their parents, and now that they have made this their home, they are being kicked out," said Subhash Kateel.
The protesters say something should be done to protect the children of illegal immigrants who only know the United States as home.
