Zeayadali Malhamdary survived torture in an Iranian prison and war against Saddam Hussein’s troops only to find himself drowning in the Rio Grande in his quest for freedom, his friends say.

He made it to the northern shore to eventually be welcomed as a refugee and open a tailor shop.

But the Mesa man’s American dream is fading. He sits behind bars in Florence, a defendant in a federal case accusing him of trying to smuggle other Iranians across the Mexican border.
Federal prosecutors portray Malhamdary as a shady profiteer who knows the racket of crossing borders, and a judge says there is plenty of evidence of his guilt. Prosecutors say the case does not involve terrorism.

Neither Malhamdary nor his attorney responded to requests for an interview. The 39-year-old immigrant has not taken the stand in any court appearances. But an FBI affidavit says he acknowledged he wanted to bring people to the United States for protection from religious persecution.

His friends say that if he did break the law, then it is because he sought a greater good â€â€

Is everyone going insane! He smuggled in about 60 potential terrorists. What fool in their right mind is going to believe any crap he has to say?

At this point in the program of illegal immigration, there is so much evil, so much crime, so much "agenda"....that we can not belive anything any of these people say.

There is only one way for this problem to go away and that is to get TROOPS ON EVERY BORDER OF THE US NOW!!!

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE GOVERNORS OF THESE STATES who have at their complete and sole disposal, the right to exercise their State Mission and activate with one phone call....the:

and seal our borders!!

The lives of your citizens are at risk and because you are our southern border for the nation, the lives of every American Citizen are at risk. We unfortunately are without a President, so you are our border leaders...use your power, and do it now....

I could just hear the violins playing...as I read this sad sad story about this poor man who has done nothing wrong...he's a GOOD person...and SOOO welcome here...all he wants is to bring in hundreds more people from a terroritst country...that's all.

RIGHT ROADRUNNER!! If they want "sad" stories to "tug" at their hearts, I've got thousands right here in my county with 27% of our children living below the poverty line and 30% living in "high poverty" neighborhoods.

I'm sick and tired of these "violin" serenades for foreign nationals whose backgrounds we don't know, whose intentions we don't know, whose True Colors....we don't know.

What we do know is: they violated our laws; jeopardized our citizens; stole jobs and opportunities; and are from nations that hate us.

I do not find that "helpful" to the United States or the American People.

Send them home NOW!!

Good people do not often break into houses, businesses, properties, or countries. You may know this man. He may be a good man that made a big mistake.

I'm not going to apologize because there are hundreds of millions of people just like him that want to come to America tomorrow if we allow it.
