One man's view on Mexican Trucks and NAFTA

    Speaking of illegal immigrants...

I've spoken before of the Mexi-meri-canada theory, that is the belief that, without even putting it to a democratic vote to Americans, the leaders of Mexico, America, and Canada will create a European Union-like organization. This would greatly reduce our autonomy as a country, as well as basically destroy our economy to a point most of you would rather not contemplate (future quote: "Wow! You own a cell phone? You must be rich"). And the process to make this happen is already underway.

The North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), which was signed by President Bush Sr, and then rammed through legislature by President Clinton. So both parties are equally responsible for this stupidity. Last year, current President Bush ordered construction to begin on the NAFTA Super Highway. A highway stretching from Southern Mexico, through Kansas City and into the parts of Canada with a more reasonable climate. This road will allow trucks from Mexico, carrying who knows what, into the heartland of America, with the first customs inspection not taking place until it reaches Kansas City. By the way, if you own a sarcasm meter, it's probably best to turn it off before you read the next paragraph, lest it become overloaded and explode.

HMMMM...NO WAY ANYTHING DANGEROUS OR ILLEGAL COULD BE DROPPED OFF BETWEEN MEXICO AND KANSAS CITY, I'D SAY! Yes, shipments from China (and we can trust China not to send anything dangerous over here, right?) can come into Mexico...which I'm sure has great port security and inspections, then travel on Mexican trucks...which I'm sure are just as safe as American trucks, all the way into Kansas City, where they will finally be inspected by customs enforcement. "Oh, but Giant, that'll still be a while from now. Surely someone will stop that before it happens." If you are thinking that, you would be very wrong, because the Mexican trucks, which used to simply drop off loads at the border to be picked up by American trucks, begin rolling across our borders TO-edited-MORROW.

I never thought I'd say it, but for the first time in my life, I am now pro-Union, because the only people who are trying to stop this, is the Teamsters Union. And this isn't on the news at all. NOT AT ALL! Nobody is saying anything about it! Everybody is watching celebrities implode and waiting for Halo 3 to come out, while our country dies just a little more every day.

Rawhide.... You are right .... Who would have thought we could have reached this point. But, I have faith that slowly but surely Americans will awaken and reclaim their freedom and sovereignty. Otherwise, they will start each day at day labor centers competing with illegal aliens ... as to who will work for the least wages.
