"18-Year-Old Illegal Immigrant Jailed On Rape Charges"

An 18-year-old illegal immigrant is behind bars for the rape of a 12-year-old girl.

Diego Francisco Escobar-Landaverde was taken into custody Saturday afternoon after the victim’s mother called police.

LaVergne Police said the12-year-old girl was raped at a mobile home where the suspect’s uncle was moving in.

Investigators think the suspect planned the rape.

They said he had a key to the residence and knew no one would be home.

Police said they were able to arrest Escobar-Landaverde less than an hour after the victim's mother called police.

Escobar-Landaverde had been deported in 2006 and police said he should have never been in the country to commit the crime.

Somehow he got back to LaVergne.

LaVergne Police Chief Ted Boyd said, “We're questioning…â€

"Police believe Escobar-Landaverde and the girl may have been acquainted, but believe he somehow enticed the child to get into his car. "

Where were this child's parents when this happened? Were they acquainted with this scumbag too?
