Nixa Police Help Arrest Tennessee Man

A Nashville man has been arrested in connection with child pornography.
Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigators with help from the Nashville, Tenn., Police Department ,59-year-old Jaime Torres-Guerra was arrested on Feb. 14 after he was found in possession of numerous child sexual abuse pictures and videos.

The arrest stems from an Internet investigation by a Nixa Cyber Crimes Unit investigator that was turned over to the Nashville Police Department on Jan. 25. During the investigation, the Nixa investigator discovered Torres-Guerra was sharing several files confirmed to be child pornography. When the Nashville ICAC investigators executed a search warrant at the home Torres-Guerra was occupying, investigators found more than 6,000 images depicting the sexual abuse of children. Through the search warrant, investigators also learned Torres-Guerra was in the United States illegally.

Torres-Guerra was charged with Sexual Exploitation of a Minor (Possession) and Aggravated Sexual Exploitation of a Minor (Distribution). Nashville investigators plan to go to the grand jury and seek Federal charges in the near future.
