This is something that we should really be addressing. The fact that illegal aliens can drive on our roads without drivers licenses, insurance, proof of identity, auto registration, expired tags is not acceptable. It is an encounter that every law enforcement agency should be using to detain, identify and remove illegal aliens.

In Cleveland, TN (Bradley County), an admitted illegal alien selling food out of the back of their car without any business license, any health permit, any drivers license, any insurance, to a group of workers on a shopping center was not cited, nor were any actions taken against them. However, the citizen who reported this activity was threatened with harassment charges for reporting and locating the individual and the City of Cleveland,TN Police told the illegal alien to go to the courthouse to receive a business license and that they would also need a health permit. The City of Cleveland Police said that the illegal alien was trying to do things "right," and that the citizen who reported them was interfering in their ability to get their license and permit. Isn't that aiding and abetting big time? Let them run wild on the streets, no licenses needed and don't you dare say anything against them. Can you operate a business without a license legally? Can you drive a car legally without a license, etc? Something is seriously wrong.

The citizen reported the officers for dereliction of duty in not citing, and then assisting the illegal alien. Then the threat of harassment charges followed.
