CLINTON, Conn. (WTNH) - An arrest was made after a four month investigation involving a 19-year-old girl who was sexually assaulted by illegal citizens.

Police say two men who are both from Ecuador have been arrested for the crime.

William Matute 36, and Carlos Celi 29, originally from have had federal detainers placed on them pending their deportation back to Ecuador.

The investigation alleges that Celi assisted Matute in the crime, but did not have sexual contact with the victim.

Both Celi and Matute will be arraigned in Middletown Superior Court on Jan. 10.

The term illegal citizen is, in my opinion, an oxymoron.

Two Men Charged In Clinton Sex Assault

CLINTON — — Two men face sexual assault charges after an incident in which a 19-year-old woman was raped by one man and fondled by another, police said.

William Matute, 36, of Clinton has been charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault, unlawful restraint and providing alcohol to a minor.

Carlos Celi, 29, of Guilford has been charged with fourth-degree sexual assault, first-degree unlawful restraint and providing alcohol to a minor.

Police allege that the two men gave the woman alcohol. Then, police said, Matute raped the 19-year-old and Celi touched the woman's private parts.

Police said that the men are scheduled to appear in court in Middletown on Jan. 10. U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement have placed federal holds on the men, who police said are in the country illegally from Ecuador.

Clinton - Police and officers from the U.S. Department of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested two Ecuadorean citizens on sexual assault charges Friday afternoon.



Officers served arrest warrants on William P. Matute, 36, of 8 Valley Road, and Carlos Celi, 29, of 20 Bunker Hill Road in Guilford.



Matute was charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault with intercourse, first-degree unlawful restraint and providing alcohol to a minor.



Celi was charged with fourth-degree sexual assault, unlawful restraint and providing liquor to a minor.



The arrest warrants were the result of a four-month investigation into reports of a 19-year-old female being sexually assaulted in Clinton.



Affidavits supporting the warrants contend that Matute had forcible sexual intercourse with the victim after providing her with alcohol. Police also allege that Celi assisted Matute in the crime but did not have sexual relations with the victim.



Police said Celi had contact with the victim's intimate bodily parts.



Police said that due to the nature of the crimes and the fact that both Matute and Celi are in the country illegally, agents from ICE assisted the Clinton Police Department and placed federal detainers on both individuals, pending deportation proceedings.



Both men are scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Middletown Superior Court.

Yeah, 'illegal citizen' jumps out doesn't it? Must be one of those pc titles the media allows.

The terms "Illegal" and "Citizen" are contradictory in itself -

citizen: a native or naturalized person who owes allegiance to a government and is entitled to protection from it (illegal invaders ARE NOT)

illegal: not according to or authorized by law : unlawful, illicit; also : not sanctioned by official laws (illegal invaders ARE just that)

These "idiots" really need to be sent to school (IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY)
