Traffic stop leads to cocaine bust

A Traffic stop for an illegal lane change in Osceola County led to a big catch .

When it was all over, $4 million of cocaine was seized, and two undocumented workers are in the Seminole County jail.

When a deputy pulled over the car for the illegal lane change, deputies discovered the man driving didn't have legal documentation to be in America. When a police dog alerted on the car, they found 5 kilos of cocaine hidden in the engine compartment.

But that was just the beginning; turns out, according to deputies, that the guy was just the transporter. He led agents to his drop off man in the Orlando area.

That's where law enforcement agents found an additional 85 pounds of cocaine and $250,000 in cash.

Agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration estimate the wholesale value of the find is one million dollars with a street value of three to four million dollars.

Agents said smugglers brought the drugs over the border from Mexico and were then picked up by two men in Texas.

Then they drove to a home in Buena Ventura Lakes in Kissimmee, where they distributed the drugs.

Agents believe the particular drug trafficking group has been operating since March.
