Traffic stop leads to pair of arrests

Marblehead -
A Sunday morning traffic stop led to the arrest of an allegedly intoxicated driver as well as his passenger, who was found to be the subject of an outstanding warrant for evading deportation.
Marblehead Police Officer Michael Daigle stopped a vehicle driven by (mod edit), 20, of Marblehead for speeding on Ocean Avenue at about 9:17 a.m. Sunday. Following subsequent discussions and an investigation with the driver, Baran was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of a Class D controlled substance, speeding and littering from a motor vehicle. Baran is due in Lynn District Court on Tuesday, July 8.
Baran’s passenger, Felix Diendone Tchincdo, 29, of Lynn was found to be wanted on a federal warrant for failing to report for deportation. Tchincdo now waits in the Essex County House of Correction for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents and further processing.
