Translators for Illegal Residents So They Can Get Services?

Translators for Illegal Residents So They Can Get Services?

Lincoln County Commissioner Bruce Carlton was onto something Monday night when he raised questions about a $1.6 million local-state-federal project aimed at helping families become self-sufficient.. Carlton questioned why the county funds a program that pays for interpreters to help undocumented people (illegal residents) become self-sufficient, but he stopped short of blasting the program out of the water, where it really belongs.
We suppose that if Uncle Sam feels that it has the constitutional authority to buy interest in private banks and to borrow billions of dollars from China to prop up the greedy brokers on Wall Street there is nothing wrong with using tax money to give aid to undocumented residents in Lincoln County.
    Not!
This foolishness needs to stop somewhere, and it may as well be here.
Taxpayers are not cows to be milked morning and night for the benefit of people who are illegally in our country or for white-collar criminals who rip the rest of us off to line their own pockets. It is time for the local, state and federal governments to face reality and stop shelling out our tax dollars on questionable programs and mortgaging our grandchildrens’ futures in the process.
It is time for citizens to accept more responsibility for their own futures and to quit relying on the government for hand-outs, lift-ups or bailouts.
And it is time for taxpayers to demand that the government - local, state and federal, stop wasting our money on programs that do little more than provide employment for overpaid bureaucrats or benefits for people of questionable status.

While otherwise unwelcome, one unexpected "benefit" of our ever-tightening economy may be to make public funds taxed to U.S. citizens and legal residents for services that go to illegal aliens increasingly apparent. It also may empower some who previously were hesitant to speak out to do so in an economic situation where more legitimate residents now will need to sacrifice.

The Dallas school district just had to lay off several hundred teachers and staff because they made a mistake in their budget; however, the (Hispanic) superintendent made no apology for the fact that only two bi-lingual language teachers lost their jobs: he said bi-lingual teachers were "protected".

There is something out there everyday about how we the taxpayers are being forced to pay for things we did not agree to....especially any kind of funding to illegal aliens.

They also should pass a law if you want to come into this country you need to speak ENGLISH before you get here!

Do you think we could force them to give us a national referendum on immigration before whoever is elected president simply brings a universal amnesty bill through Congress and then signs it?

We did, after all, defeat amnesty by working all together last year!

Actually, the only place translators should be provided is in immigration courts for the deportation hearings.
Of course OBLs will start screaming discrimination and sue everyone in sight.
What is apparent is that laws from local, state and federal need to either be tossed or seriously revised to coincide and each governmental agency should not be able to redefine laws by redefinition of what is on the books.
