Where in the world are you getting the notion that the city actually owns the border? Even without seeing anything in writing, common sense tells me the federal government has a specific amount of operating room and right-a-away inside the border line.

Yes, and many times the attention Trump draws ends up biting his administration in the butt! A good example of that is all the empty rhetoric and threats he throws around like candy at a Christmas parade. In most peoples world making promises and threats when you have no intention of honoring them is a bad thing and no amount of spin will make it look good.

The city owns the city park where the military put up the razor wire. Have you ever heard of a "city park"? It means it's owned by the City of Laredo. It means it's municipally owned property. No one can go on to city owned property and just do whatever they want without permission. They considered the razor wire to be a source of "fear" for the people who use the park.

If there is an existing fence there, the federal government has an easement to install and maintain the fence with rights-of-way to police and guard it. If the easement describes a fence structure to be built, then that is all that can be built without going back and obtaining another easement or a modification of the easement. A great deal of research is required to know whether or not the military had the authority to install the razor wire at that particular location.

Again, my guess is no, otherwise they wouldn't have removed it.

I still say in order to stop an invasion the federal government can place razor wire wherever they want along the border. Are you denying that securing our nation against a foreign invasion is in the presidents realm of responsibility? Are you saying he can't secure a portion of border that he feels is being invaded by foreign nationals? Additionally, are you saying our President has to ignore an invasion simply because an individual town or city wants to be a conduit for an invasion ... to shield the invaders .... and to offer them passage without fear of resistance? It just doesn't make any sense for our federal government to ignore an invasion based on the location of forced entry.

About 2 miles of military-grade wire was removed from city land in Laredo, Texas, according to Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) officials

Where in the article does it say it was taken down in the city park?

Is the city park 2 miles long?


Even if it was a city park, which I seriously doubt, the Proclamation called for the FEDERAL Gov. to control a strip of land, if the city built a park there---their mistake.

No, I'm saying your Proclamation doesn't have anything to do with it and my guess is if the military had legal authority to leave the razor wire in place, they wouldn't have removed it.

Well, the way I see it, Trump's Razor Wire has done more to stop illegal immigration into the United States than anything you and your 90,000 posts have done since 2008. So the issue of how to ensure and protect Trump and the military's ability to continue to do this seems pretty damn important to me.
