Is This True?
Some wanted a cloture vote earlier, to ramrod the bill and get into Bush's eager hands to sign. The key is cloture... if the Senator votes for cloture (closing off debate), he's effectively voting for the bill. Let him/her know you know this sneaky procedure.

Correct except going to Bush's hands. The House would still need to approve it.
Making this such an uphill battle is far more victory than we expected even if we don't stop this in the Senate. Next step is to network network NETWORK. Wake up your friends and family! Think of the LONG lead the anti-American advocacy groups had on this - they even worked on the bill. Most of our side isn't even AWAKE yet, which is why Reid/Kennedy want to push it through!
They NEVER expected this much resistance in the Senate and they are teetering on disaster.
