Donald Trump is being given credit for a new L.A. County policy that lets federal agents “interview [jail] inmates who have committed serious crimes” to gauge if they need to be deported.

“It appears the ‘Trump Effect’ is now having an impact on Los Angeles County policy,” complained Pablo Alvarado, a spokesman for the pro-migrant National Day Laborer Organizing Network.

GOP presidential hopeful Trump has surged to the top of national polls by campaigning for the construction of a wall on the southern border, an end to illegal immigration, and the capture and deportation of dangerous illegals.

The county’s popular pro-American shift, announced Sept 22, came amid public anger after five-time illegal migrant Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez allegedly shot and killed Kathryn Steinle on Pier 14 in San Francisco. “The [new] policy appears politically motivated and impacted by sensationalized tragedy,” Alvarado complained.

Prior to this shift, county officials had imposed rules that stopped federal agents from checking jailhouses for illegal migrants.

Alvarado also said immigration enforcement is bad policy. The policy shift entangles “local criminal law enforcement with the enforcement of outdated, unjust civil immigration laws,” he said.

However, it is not clear if the federal enforcement agency will use their recovered opportunity to repatriate foreign migrants. For several years, President Barack Obama and his deputies have sharply reduced enforcement of immigration law within the United States, and have actually released more than 30,000 foreign criminals back into Americans’ streets.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the new policy requires jail officials to “notify ICE up to seven days before those inmates are being released so immigration agents can pick them up and initiate deportation proceedings.

Even if Trump never makes it out of the primaries, he has served a very valuable purpose in bringing many gut wrenching issues into the spotlight. For that I have to give high kudos to Donald Trump, no matter what anyone thinks of him.

Trump will make it out of the primaries. Do not let a hard week get you down. I know how it feels, slam, slam, slam, slam against Trump, and you begin to think it's too hard, it's not possible, we were just dreaming, just overly optimistic, too hopeful .... that we could actually have a candidate who wants to stop illegal immigration, deport illegal aliens, stop/reduce legal immigration as well as fix all the free trade treason inequities .... that would win, who wouldn't be shut down by big money donors and the traitors responsible for this disaster.

But it isn't too hard. It is possible. We aren't just dreaming, we're not too optimistic or hopeful .... Donald Trump is real, he's in for the long haul, he believes in the same things we do and has his entire life, he's charming, he's smart, he's successful, he's accomplished, he's articulate, he's a good and decent person, he likes to fix things, he likes to build things, he wants to make things better and nice for everyone, and he is tough as nails. It's a rare package in politics.

Thank you Mr. Trump for being bold and honest enough to bring the issue of illegal immigration into the limelight. Under the current administration we have lawlessness now by ignoring our immigration laws and making up laws by executive orders. And this state has followed through aggressively with this lawlessness. He has made a positive impact in this state even if it is partly due to poor Kate Steinle. Public safety should take priority over protecting illegal alien criminals.

SO true! Trump WILL win the GOP nomination and even the presidency but we MUST mobilize our friends and relatives to vote for Trump at the primary level and national level!
