Funny I read an article not that long ago from Briebart that claimed Trump was going to end TPS for all these people. Guess that's another lie we can chalk up.

From what I can tell he is. However, giving them 12 to 18 months to get their affairs in order is too much time!

They are long, GeorgiaPeach, but I think that's so the home countries aren't flooded at one time. They'll be staggered on their letters and dates to leave as I understand it, that's why it's up to 12 to 18 months.

It's not just to get their affairs in order, it's to stagger the deportations so they don't all leave here and arrive in their home countries all at the same time. I think the term Nielsen used was "orderly transition" or something like that.

Are they giving notices to start leaving NOW!

Not all at once 12 - 18 months from now.

I want to see them loading up their stuff and getting out of here.

I hadn't heard that. Where did you see they were going to stagger their departures? How do they pick who leaves at 13 months and who leaves at 18 months? Link please. I would like to read about this staggering thing you're talking about.

They didn't give the details, just said the extension was for an "orderly transition" and gave the 12 to 18 month range for that. Some of them have been here for 18 years, so as long as it's over and they'll be leaving in the next year or so suits me just fine. Never heard anyone talking about it or giving a hoot until Trump decides to end it and send them home.

There is nothing anyone can do about them not leaving until their TPS expiration date arrives and then they become illegal aliens, with no one doing anything to deport them.
