Thread: Trump signals that he might not deport Obama’s DREAMers

If you read the Time article, it's a terrible article jumping all around between time spans and insults, so it's really hard at this point to know what he actually said and when he said it or what he meant by it. So lets see what he actually says to US. This is why he's not doing many interviews these days. The only reason he did one with NBC today was because he was selected as Time Person of the Year.

These comments, though not detailed, signal that Trump is open to allowing at least some portion of the DREAMers to stay in the country and to achieve some sort of permanent legal status.

This statement is conjecture by Time Magazine, not Donald Trump. Time Magazine has proven itself to be a biased and deceptive propaganda publication dedicated to amnesty for illegal aliens which would usher in permanent open borders for America.

They are eager to try to disappoint Trump supporters any way they can and they know that if Donald Trump waivers on any of his immigration promises it will completely destroy his Presidency and the movement he rode into office.

There is also the problem of deception by obama admin re "dreamers" - "those brought at a young age by their illegal parents" and those that entered the USA illegally as youths in the last 16 yrs. They are NOT DREAMERS! They are the ones that are producing offspring for the "anchor" on our dollar - birthing, schooling, 4-6 children each with many more births to come = more $$$$, yet no father is responsible for child support. USA citizen father - try that, they will take your paycheck, your drivers license..

Unless you see a Tweet or hear it out of Trump's mouth, I wouldn't put much stock in it. See from the actual Time article, there is no reference as to when he made this statement or in what context. Time did this just to stir up discontent. They are so despicable and the article was probably the worst article for Time Person of the Year that I've ever read.

Trump needs to contact the President's of the countries they come from. Let their President's come up with a solution what they are going to do with these people. Most have relatives to go back to.

Deport every last one of them! There is "no deal"...they all go back!

Trump Says He’ll ‘Work Something Out’ For DREAMers

President-elect Donald Trump says that he’s going to try to “work something out” for illegal aliens who were granted amnesty through President Obama’s 2012 immigration executive action, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).

In an interview with Time magazine, Trump said that he still plans to overturn the executive action, which provided DACA beneficiaries, who are called DREAMers, with work permits and protected them from deportation.

“We’re going to work something out that’s going to make people happy and proud,” Trump told Time for its “Person of the Year” issue. The real estate billionaire received the top honor.

“They got brought here at a very young age, they’ve worked here, they’ve gone to school here. Some were good students. Some have wonderful jobs. And they’re in never-never land because they don’t know what’s going to happen.”

Trump did not elaborate on how he plans to overturn Obama’s action while allowing DREAMers — which are nearly 750,000 in number — to stay in the U.S. And he may face resistance within his own administration.

Trump’s choice for attorney general is Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions, an immigration hardliner who has steadfastly opposed DACA and a 2014 Obama executive action which seeks to grant amnesty to illegal aliens who are parents of American citizens or lawful permanent residents.

Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach is also said to be a top contender for Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security. Like Sessions, Kobach has been a vocal opponent of granting amnesty to illegal aliens.

Trump has offered imprecise views on the DREAMer issue before.

“The DREAMers, it’s a tough situation. One of the things is we’re going to expedite — when someone’s terrific, we want them back here. But they have to be legal,” he told CNN’s Dana Bash in an interview last year.

Asked then whether DREAMers should be deported, Trump responded, “They’re with their parents, it depends. Look, it sounds cold. It sounds hard. We have a country. Our country is going to hell. We have to have a system where people are legally in our country.”

A bipartisan group of Senators is currently working on a bill that would allow DREAMers to remain in the U.S. even if Obama’s executive actions are overturned.

He is President of the American people. This constant preference for foreign citizens and illegal aliens, no matter the age, must stop. Develop a coherent message, let Stephen Miller or Jeff Sessions or Kris Kobach write it and repeat it.

It is amazing how the issue of immigration, illegal immigration, protecting illegal aliens and securing the borders is bringing such fury from Democrats and some Republicans, afraid Donald Trump would reverse years of damage.
