Trump Tells GOP Senators Not to Add DACA Deal to Spending Bill

Today Pres. Trump met with several Republican Senators and told them not to add any DACA legislation to the must pass spending bill this year.

Some Democrats have said they would be willing to face a government shutdown to include amnesty for Dreamers in the omnibus spending bill.

“The president made it very clear that he doesn’t want to see any DACA legislation as part of a year-end package,” said Sen. David Perdue (R-Ga.), who attended the meeting.

“We definitely ruled out putting any kind of DACA package on the omnibus bill, end of story,” said Tom Cotton (R-Ark.).

In September Trump rescinded the DACA program but gave a six-month phasing out period for Congress to find a solution.

During the meeting Pres. Trump stated that any DACA deal would have to end chain migration and strengthen border security.

“He wants a solution, he put it back into the Congress’s lap on DACA. He gave us until early March and he expects a solution but any solution to DACA’s gotta include an ending to chain migration,” Sen. David Perdue (R-Ga.) told reporters.

“The logical, coherent, tightly-wound package of giving legal status to the DACA recipients is to try to control the two negative side effects to that: chain migration and greater enforcement,” Sen. Cotton said.

Trump has already figured out how to keep the government running beyond the end of the year, well into March of 2018. Dems have been punked on the debt ceiling and DACA "fix", in my opinion. Trump has used the consistent failure to report events and real news against the MSM which has left the Dems in the dark at this crucial time period.

Tonight the president and Laura Ingraham discussed the DACA amnesty and how it must include ending chain migration. Laura used the word amnesty as she seemed to promote negoiationg DACA for some things to curb illegal immigration. She mentioned "dreamers" and President Trump used the word DACA.

There should be a video available soon. Disappointing that they both were voicing support for a carve out for younger illegal aliens and amnesty. If successful the younger illegal aliens will fight for their families, including extended members. They will be successful when democrats replace republicans.

Where are the President's words on ending birthright citizenship? That should be thrown in as a demand. DACA individuals are having children to use for their benefit here in the United States.


Maybe they know democrats and republicans cannot agree so nothing will happen, however there are enough traitors in both parties to possibly cobble together something.

Hi GeorgiaPeach! I just watched the Trump interview, I thought he was great. Laura tried to lead him, interrupted him way too much, but he was on the mark, as you said corrected her on DACA versus Dreamers, and never said he was going to agree to anything, he said he was going to end chain migration. When Laura tried to lead him into a commitment to trade DACA amnesty for ending chain migration, he just said we're going to end chain migration. Hope you can find the YouTube of this interview, President did a great job. He really needs to do more interviews like this. Fox, keep him busy, line 'em up, he needs to do one of these every few days in my opinion.

I believe that the price Laura Ingraham may have paid to become a new star on Fox is agreeing to support Amnesty for illegal aliens just like Sean Hannity did when Fox News owner Rupert Murdoch went to the Amnesty side in 2010!

Hi Judy. Laura certainly did lead the conversation toward DACA. I was surprised. She asked of the President, as you heard her say, about including border security and chain migration bei g included in any deal.
