Mr. DAVID LEONHARDT:
In your attack piece on Lou Dobbs titled "Truth, Fiction and Lou Dobbs", you go to great lengths to accuse Mr. Dobbs of a broad pattern of deception based upon an erroneous statistic about one disease.
Since you are such a stickler for accuracy, would you mind sharing with me your source of information that led to this statement.
"Mr. Dobbs really does give airtime to white supremacy sympathizers. Ms. Cosman, who is now deceased, was a lawyer and Renaissance studies scholar, never a medical doctor or a leprosy expert."
What is your source that claims that Dr. Cosman is a "white supremacy sympathizer"? Also, your statement implies that Dr. Cosman had claimed she was a medical doctor or a leprosy expert. Where did she ever make these claims you suggest?
I knew Dr. Cosman (Dr. 'C') in the last years of her life, while we were not exceptionally close friends, I did admire here work. While nobody is right all the time, she did bring a great deal of important information about the medical impact of illegal immigration to the forefront.
You have accused the late Dr. Cosman of being a white supremacist sympathizer and you have accused Mr. Dobbs of intentionally having such sympathizers on his show.
Please show me your evidence of this. If you do not have evidence that Dr. Cosman was a white supremacist sympathizer, you owe Mr. Dobbs, Dr. Cosman's family, and your readers a very big apology.
I await your response and will gladly recant my prior support and friendship with Dr. Cosman if you can prove to me she was indeed a white supremacist sympathizer.
I will note that I read the SPLC's hit piece on her and they did not mention her "white supremacist" sympathies, which is odd because they would certainly have attacked her for those if they had any evidence of such.
I would also like to know what other "White Supremacist sympathizers" Lou Dobbs has supposed had on his show. Are you giving us facts or flagrantly throwing the tired and worn out race card?
I await your response and sourcing information.
