County seeks TB nurse to deal with outbreak

Health officials want to beef up their forces to deal with an old enemy.

With tuberculosis growing among immigrant groups, the county health agency is looking for a TB nurse. With 71 foreign-born cases since 2002, the county is third statewide behind Mecklenburg County at 110 and Wake County at 127, according to a new report the Guilford County Board of Health reviewed this week.
