Two men were charged with attacking a 17-year-old boy and an 18-year-old woman whom they were following in the 1600 block of Carter Lane in Woodbridge around 1:12 a.m. Monday, according to Prince William police.
Jose Ramirez, 18, and Porfirio Ramirez-Baca, 34, both of 1621 Carter Lane, were charged with two counts of assault and battery and two counts of abduction with intent to defile.
Police said the 18-year-old from Manassas and the Woodbridge boy were walking when they noticed they were being followed and tried to get into their vehicle, said Officer Erika Hernandez, police spokeswoman.
But the men stopped them from driving away, according to police, and punched the boy during the struggle.
The woman, police said, was grabbed, pulled away, thrown to the ground and then pinned down and inappropriately touched.
Both of the victims were able to get away without injuries and call police, Hernandez said.
Ramirez and Ramirez-Baca, who are both in the country illegally, are each being held at Prince William-Manassas regional jail without bond and are scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 9 for the charges involving the woman, Hernandez said. A hearing is pending in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court for the charges involving the juvenile victim.
Because of the nature of the crime, the two suspects are also being detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, police said.
The investigation continues.

So we're not even safe in numbers anymore (aka never walk alone at night)? How sick and sad.
