Illegal Aliens Self-deporting amid Stricter Enforcement, Says Report

    Full Story Here: http://www.breitbart.com/texas/2017/...t-says-report/

President Donald Trump’s executive orders to increase enforcement and follow existing immigration law is leading some illegal aliens to self-deport

by JOHN BINDER11 Jul 2017Pueblo, CO
In a report by the Pueblo Chieftain, sources told the local newspaper that illegal immigrants, fearful of being prosecuted and deported by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), are self-deporting primarily back to Mexico.
“Sources report that some undocumented families have left the area for Mexico rather than run the risk of having a parent arrested or even sentenced to prison for immigration violations,” the newspaper reported.

According to the report, families began self-deporting after a total of 14 illegal aliens in the Pueblo, Colorado area had been arrested and deported.
Many of the individuals arrested had previously come to the U.S. on an H-2A foreign guest worker visa, but overstayed and had been living in the country illegally for years.
In one case, 48-year-old Benito Rubio, who died in federal custody before he was set to be deported, was facing felony charges after illegally remaining in the U.S. despite federal orders to deport.
The self-deportation of illegal aliens comes just as Attorney General Jeff Sessions led the charge in the Trump Administration to reinstate criminal prosecution for first-time border-crossers, a break from the lax open borders policies of the Obama Administration, as Breitbart Texas reported.
Previously, first-time border-crossers were deported to their native countries. Under Trump, those illegal aliens are being prosecuted, alongside repeat offenders.
First-time border-crossers are being convicted with misdemeanors. If they illegally re-enter, they will be hit with felony charges. Under the Obama administration, former Attorney General Eric Holder actually halted all prosecutions in some border sectors.

Illegal immigrants crossing our borders in any direction, either going in or going out is violating our borders. We have to police traffic in both directions. "Self deportation" is no solution and just further weakens our borders.

This ought to be what "amnesty" should be, allowing illegals to turn themselves in so they can be ushered outside of the country through controlled border crossing.

A good part of illegal immigration and other illegal trafficking across our border requires criminals to be able to exit the country without being observed as easily as they enter.

"Self deportation" is also another excuse for not policing our interior against illegal immigrants.

Give them 6 months to self deport...by the thousands! After that...severe fines and penalties.

I do not want to pay to jail or put them in detention...there are too many.

Same goes for Visa overstays and get our tracking system up and running.

I hear what you're saying, but unfortunately self deportation is a necessary piece to the puzzle. The recources required to deport 20-30 million illegals would be huge and DHS doesn't have the manpower or budget to even attempt to deport that many folks over the next 4-8 years. Key to the whole process is making their life miserable here in the United States so they will leave on their own and stop coming illegally. Of course many probably won't self deport regardless of what we do, however, if just 25 to 30 percent self deport we're making serious progress. Improving border security, mandating a national E-verify, ending birthright citizenship, and the strict inforcement of all our immigration laws will act to make illegals think twice about coming or staying. We need to make living here illegally a living hell.

Oh, and ending sanctuary cities, counties, and states is also very important. I'd also like to see AG Sessions drop lawsuits on the states offering driver's licenses and in-state tuition to illegals. I consider those two acts as aiding and abetting illegal immigrants.

One last thing and I'll step off my soapbox.
    End DACA now, Mr. President!

Illegals should not be able to enroll in our taxpayer funded schools.

Stop them from enrolling in the next Semester!

Stop aiding and abetting illegal aliens by GIVING them enrollment in OUR schools.

    VERIFIFY FIRST all Students!!!

Nobody here is paying attention to the issue. The issue is our borders and when illegal immigrants cross our borders in either direction, they are violating weaknesses in our borders. Criminal activity across our borders requires criminals to travel in both directions illegally across our borders. "Self deportation" is a bogus argument against illegal immigration. Illegal immigrants are already exiting our borders any time they feel like it, but that doesn't prevent them from coming back in. Throwing them out after prosecution or ushering them out under an amnesty is the only way we can control our borders
