MIDVALE, Utah— Police from the Utah Attorney General’s SECURE strike force raided a Midvale home and uncovered various fake identifications allegedly made to be sold at a premium to undocumented immigrants.
Three suspects are charged with a variety of felonies, that could become federal charges at some point, after state and federal police say they found fake Social Security cards, driver’s licenses, and permanent resident cards.
After acting on a tip and armed with a warrant, police Monday surrounded and raided the home and arrested the suspects, including Gilberto Ramirez-Crus, who detectives say has a knack for making high-quality fake documents.

HURRICANE, Utah—
Police in Washington County have arrested a trio of suspects after a traffic stop led them to the largest identity fraud and counterfeiting ring they've ever uncovered.
Police say the discovery happened after they pulled over two of the suspects, Catherine Wever and Ronald Burch, for a traffic violation in Hurricane. Officers searched the car and uncovered over $8,000 in counterfeit bills, fake IDs, drugs and a loaded weapon. Wever and Burch were arrested on scene.
From those arrests, authorities were also able to track down and arrest another suspect, 36-year-old Jeron Hales, who was staying at an old motel in Hurricane. They obtained a search warrant and found computers and laminating machines that were used to make fraudulent IDs and documents.
"It's difficult to explain what kind of documentation they were producing. They had driver’s licenses, and other kinds of ID that people have in their wallet," said Nancy Perkins, Hurricane police public information officer.
Hurricane police has teamed up with the Washington County drug task force and the FBI to investigate the case. They believe this could be part of a larger operation and say more arrests could be coming.

This raid will make it harder for illegal aliens from Utah to get (fraudulent) identification. Good deal. But now, there's a danger that these illegals will rush over to California. Northern California recently announced that they are accepting Mexican ID cards as "valid" ID. Perhaps this is the only ID that they'll ever need. No wonder California keeps on going broke, and keeps on forcing-out small businesses, which adds to the unemployment rolls, and accelerates the exodus of California citizens.
