Hoping to curb drug trafficking among teens, the Border Patrol is proposing a new program titled Operation Detour.
Raul Ortiz, an assistant chief with the agency, said that while at a conference in Austin he was made to file a report on the number of teens drug trafficking in the state, which, he says, in on the rise.
“Well, one particular day I was doing a report and I noticed that a couple of young men from Del Rio involved in an incident that happened out in Quemado and it struck home,â€
