Immigrant Charter Schools: A Better Choice?

From the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), a leftist biased organization which labels all which disagrees with their premises as "hate speech" from "hate organizations". Ironically, the SPLC got its start bringing and defending civil rights lawsuits, many of them specifically to help implement the racial integration of the public schools, during the 1960's.

Charter Schools are paid for from public funds as are all public schools, but they often are not held to the same standards of accountability to the public itself.

Immigrant Charter Schools: A Better Choice?

    Number 37: Spring 2010

Third-grader Jaime of Denver, Colorado, was having a hard time concentrating in school. The son of Mexican immigrants, he had learned to speak English perfectly in his dual-language public school, but reading and writing was another story.

Yes it really is. I support instead, private school vouchers so we can privatize education and let every student seek out the best school for them that they can afford. Ironic isn't it that "immigrants", most of whom are ILLEGAL ALIENS get this advantage and American Kids don't.

    It's repugnant.

I find it alarming that a religion based charter school is getting federal funds. Catholic schools do not get federal funds, neither should Jewish, Muslim, Quaker, etc. schools.

I am further alarmed that school choice was shut down for poor Americans, example black kids in DC, while there doesn't seem to be a problem with funneling funds to charter schools based on race, nationality or religion??? Pathetic.

I would just be waiting for someone to enroll their American child and demand bi-lingual instruction. The only good thing about this program would be that it would get the disruptive Hispanic kids out of our schools and allow our own children to get a better education.

Has anyone else noticed that at least 90% of the pro-illegal stories don't allow comments? I wonder why? Could it be that rags like Arizona Star and the Houston Chronicle that support criminal behavior have comments that are 97% against them? ALL news articles should allow comments. ALL OF THEM!!
