CBP Agent Stabbed at Bridge

BROWNSVILLE-A woman crossing into the United States on a Cameron County bridge, allegedly stabbed a Customs and Border Protection agent early Saturday afternoon. CBP spokesperson Eddie Perez confirmed reports of the agent involved stabbing and said the Mexican National was in the pedestrian lane of the B and M International Bridge in Brownsville. The alleged assailant was taken into custody and the agent was transported to a local hospital for what is described as "non-life threatening" injuries. No information was released about what instigated the incident, but officials said the attack is still under investigation.
