Collin County man indicted in illegal immigration smuggling ring

The U.S. Attorney's Office implicated a Collin County man in an immigrant smuggling ring.

Luis Alfredo Ramirez, 33, received a federal indictment last week for "conspiring to encourage and induce illegal immigration for the purpose of financial gain," according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.

Ramirez, a legal resident of the U.S. with citizenship for Mexico, worked as a regional manager for "Quick 'n Clean Car Wash" for nine locations in Arizona and four in Texas. The indictment says that Ramirez along with Mexican citizens Ricardo Muniz-Sanchez, Irwing Lenin Rosas, Israel Zamudio-Gonzalez and Sergio Gonzalez-Sanchez conspired a scheme to smuggle immigrants into the U.S. "for the purpose of commercial advantage and private financial gain."

Ramirez and his co-conspirators hired the immigrants starting in 2006 for the car wash business and assisted them in obtaining "fraudulent employment authorization documents, including a fraudulent permanent resident alien registration card and a fraudulent social security card," according to the indictment.

They would hire the immigrants and instruct them to "punch in and out" during down times for the business "thereby reducing QCCW's operating costs." This business practice would net Ramirez and his conspirators business for maintaining low operating costs. The indictment identifies 11 immigrants hired for the business through fraudulent means.

Ramirez, upon conviction, could receive a federal prison term of no more than 10 years and a fine not to exceed $250,000. He could also receive an additional period of supervised release of not more than three years, according to the U.S. Penal Code.

There are soooo many car washes in the Dallas area, and as cheap as the car washes are (as little at $5 for a basic wash), you KNOW the Mexican's working that job are illegal! It is SO obvious!! I only go to one when I must!

At least the guys that mow my lawn are all American (it's REALLY hard to own an American-only run-and-operated lawn care business in the Dallas area, with so so many illegals working for them for nothing).
