Drug smugglers turn violent along the border

McAllen - Drug smugglers are having a harder time getting product across the border, and with the border fence being built, their choices are being limited even more.

In the past few weeks, desperate drug smugglers, have been involved in high speed chases that end in shootings or attacks on Border Patrol Agents.

Border Patrol agents tell NEWSCHANNEL 5, as their choices are limited, more smugglers will turn to violence to try and get the load across.
