Suspected Illegals Bailout After Chase

Video
What started as a wild high speed chase Sunday, ended with a bailout of more than 20 suspected illegal immigrants near Saratoga and Greenwood.
The drama developed near the town of Driscoll Sunday. A white Chevy 4x4 catching the attention of a Nueces County Constable. The Constable thought he was dealing with a drunk driver. After following him for several minutes, the truck picked up speed, and the chase ensued.
Reaching speeds just shy of 100 m.p.h. It eventually ended along County Road 35 near the Las Colonias neighborhood.
Police estimate 20-25 illegals bailed out of the vehicle. They were making a fast dash for a hiding place. Officers surrounded the area.
A D.P.S. helicopter was also brought in for the suspects because of the thick brush. 30 minutes later a second suspect was located not far away. Both are believed to be Honduran nationals, in the country illegally.
They're now in custody of agents of the U.S. Border Patrol.

So what happened to the rest of the more-than-20 illegals? Are they still searching?
And a Chevy 4x4 is not that big to carry that many people.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Monday, July 6, 2009
CORPUS CHRISTI — A pickup believed to be carrying 15 to 20 suspected illegal immigrants led authorities on a vehicle chase Sunday before passengers bailed out along Saratoga Boulevard, according to a Corpus Christi police brief.
The incident, which involved multiple law enforcement agencies, including U.S. Border Patrol agents, started as a traffic violation in Driscoll that ended in Corpus Christi in a dirt field along Saratoga Bouelvard, west of Greenwood Drive.
The suspects got out of the pickup in the field of thick brush. Two people were arrested by Border Patrol, an agency spokesman said.
Agencies, including a Texas Department of Public Safety helicopter, didn’t find others in the thick brush, according to the brief.
