Three people are expected to face a judge after they allegedly tried to go through the Sarita checkpoint with two illegal immigrants hidden under a blanket.

U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested Fernando Felix, Maria Jessica Gonzalez and Genaro Martinez under unlawfully aideing and abetting illegal immigrant charges on Thursday.

Court records show that the three drove up to the Sarita checkpoint in a gold Dodge Caravan.

Border Patrol agents allegedly found two illegal immigrants hiding under a blaknet in the back of the van.

The immigrants told investigators that they were paying to be transported from San Juan in Hidalgo County to Corpus Christi.

Felix, Gonzalez and Martinez are expected to appear before U.S. Magistrate Court Judge Felix Recio in Brownsville on Monday morning.
