CORPUS CHRISTI — Corpus Christi police had to drive stun an undocumented immigrant when he tried to fight them Sunday night, according to a police report.

Officers arrived at a residence on the 2800 block of Kitchens at 8:45 p.m. to find Francisco Rivera, 21, holding a knife and threatening a 24-year-old man. When Rivera spotted officers, he fled to a bedroom, but then turned on officers and tried to fight them. That's when he was drive stunned by officers, according to the report.

Rivera was being held in Nueces County jail for Border Patrol to claim him on an immigration detainer. He was also arrested for aggravated assault ($10,000 bond) and resisting arrest ($500 bond).
