LAREDO, Tx. - A Florida woman was pulled over on a traffic violation while she transported 15 undocumented immigrants in a truck.

Heydi Toledo, resident of Miami, Florida, was sent to the County jail on federal charges of human smuggling.

According to reports, Sheriff Department officials from the McMullen County pulled over the driver of a rental Penske truck with Indiana plates.

The driver was driving at an excessive speed and seemed very nervous. Law officials inspected the back of the truck and found something odd about the walls.

Authorities asked for the assistance of Border Patrol agents, who found a secret compartment where 15 illegal immigrants were hidden.

The immigrants stated how they made arrangements in Mexico to be transported to Houston for 3,300 dollars and before aboarding the truck to Freer, they were hidden in a safe house.

The woman declared to Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents that she was going to transport the immigrants to San Antonio for a payment of 10,000 dollars.
