U.S. Border Patrol Weekly Blotter, Blaine Sector, June 7–June 13

Blaine, Wash. – The information listed below is from arrests and seizures related to the U.S. Border Patrol in the Blaine Sector area of operations. For security reasons, this may not be a complete list of enforcement actions.

06/09/2012 - While patrolling the border, Blaine Border Patrol agents encountered two subjects in close proximity to the United States/Canada border in Blaine, Wash. The agents determined that both subjects were citizens of Cuba. Agents confirmed that one subject had status in the United States and was subsequently released. The second suspect admitted to being illegally present in the United States. The subject was placed under arrest and processed for removal.

06/09/2012 - Operators of a remote video surveillance system observed two subjects running southbound from the United States/Canada border near Lynden, Wash. Sumas Border Patrol agents responded to the area, conducted a search and encountered two subjects who matched the description of the individuals who were seen running away from the immediate border area. Both individuals were citizens of Mexico who admitted to being illegally present in the United States. Both were placed under arrest and processed for removal.

06/11/2012 - Agents encountered an individual walking southbound from the United States/Canada border in the area of the Peace Arch State Park in Blaine, Wash. The agents determined that the individual was Palestinian. The subject admitted to being illegally present in the United States, was placed under arrest and processed for removal.
