Police are looking for a man described as in his late 20s or early 30s in the kidnapping and sexual assault of a 12-year-old boy.
Police on Monday released a composite drawing of an unidentified man wanted in the reported kidnapping and sexual assault of a 12-year-old boy in southeast Houston.
Around 2:30 p.m. Saturday, the boy and his 8-year-old cousin were leaving a Dollar General store in the 8300 block of Bellfort when the attacker began talking to them in the parking lot. He told the children he could not speak English and needed someone to order food for him at a McDonald's restaurant across the street at 8320 Broadway.
The boys, who are bilingual, agreed to go with the man and climbed into his vehicle, described as a brown and white van. When the group arrived at the restaurant, the man gave the younger boy money and sent him inside to order food. The man then drove away with the 12-year-old.
The man drove to a secluded area, where he made the victim disrobe, then sexually assaulted him, police said. After the attack, the man dropped off the child at a Subway restaurant on Monroe at the Gulf Freeway.
The boy walked home after asking strangers for directions, police said.
The younger boy, after discovering the van and his cousin missing from the McDonald's, had also walked home and told his parents what happened. His parents called police.
The attacker is described as in his late 20s or early 30s, between 5 feet 2 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall, and with a chubby build.
Anyone with information on the man depicted in the drawing or this case is urged to call the Houston Police Department Juvenile Division at 713-731-5335 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477.RIP Butterbean! We miss you and hope you are well in heaven.-- Your ALIPAC friends
