U.S. Customs & Border Protection officers seize $1.1 million in cocaine at Del Rio POE

Del Rio, Texas –U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers maintained their vigilance and seized $1.1 million in cocaine at the Del Rio Port of Entry this weekend.
More than a million dollars worth of cocaine rests on an evidence counter at the Del Rio POE, Sunday (Aug. 2), after a load driven by an Acuña resident was given more detailed inspection by a drug-sniffing dog. (Contributed photo, CBP)
(click image to enlarge) The cocaine seizure occurred at about 9:15 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 3, 2008 at the International Bridge. CBP officers referred a 1989 Chevy pickup driven by Jose Hector Moran Guillen, a 40-year-old Mexican citizen from Ciudad Acuña, Coahuila, Mexico for secondary inspection.
