(CNSNews.com) - New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg said Congress must pass immigration and tort reform to get health care costs under control. He was responding to a question about House Republicans voting for a Continuing Resolution (CR) that funds implementation of the Democrats' health care law.

Last month, Bloomberg predicted that the Republicans would cut off funds for the implementation of the health care law. http://realclearpolitics.blogs.time.com ... -defunded/

CNSNews.com asked Bloomberg, “The news today is that with the health care law, the Republicans did not defund it in the CR, and you in the past predicted that they would defund the health care law...

Bloomberg responded, “Well, I hope the people understand we have to provide health care but the issue is what kind of health care we have to sit back and take a look. We have to find some ways to reduce our costs. We can’t spend 25 percent of our budget on health care and you got to really question whether we’re doing the right things. In Western Europe, they spend about $3,300 per capita.â€

He's on the exact same talking points as Senators McCain and Graham.

They all take their marching orders from the same faction.

I've heard the same argument before that somehow legalizing millions of illegals somehow would help lower healthcare costs. Now tort reform can help in ways along with other reforms added in also. But again and again I've looked at every logical point of view and cannot come up with ANY way on how legalizing illegal aliens would help lower healthcare costs. As it stands now all have an option to purchase healthcare insurance. Yes they get no employer paid healthcare insurance but as the vast majority work in low pay industries that often don't provide healthcare insurance besides workers comp they wouldn't get it paid through work. Legalizing them won't stop the emergency room abuse as we get that still by millions of legal immigrants and Americans of the poor, lower, and middle class.

There is absolutely no way legalizing illegals would lower healthcare costs or lower medicaid costs. Infact it would only increase those costs as it stands many illegals still are afraid to go to a hospital other services for fear of being caught, while they get over this fear quickly enough it does hold back a percentage and keep them from as much abuse as they would do if legal. The only arguement is thinking we may bring in more tax dollars but thats flawed also as it would only work if we had more jobs then workers and instead its just shifting taxes around along with encouraging being illegal.

Here's how an amnesty would lower costs...

Every citizen of the USA earning enough to pay taxes would pay the same amount to cover the needs of those who can't afford HC. The tax paying citizens of every state would help subsidize the poor/amnestied citizens in states such as CA, NY, FL, IL, etc.

There's an article here somewhere in which a CA politician had the nerve to state the national cost of HC for IAs is X but CA, just one of 50 states, is forced to shoulder 40% of X and that's not fair because immigration law is a Federal responsibility.

    Get my drift?

    The celeb's like him.

    Excerpt (Joan Rivers):

Any thoughts on the way the current administration is dealing with unemployment?

They’re all morons. They’re all idiots and we should get rid of them all and put Donald Trump in. He’d straighten them out. God bless Donald Trump, I’ve become such good friends with him. No nonsense, Donald Trump and Mayor Bloomberg will straighten out the entire world in 48 hours. That’s my ticket Trump-Bloomberg 2012.

Birds of a feather flock together! Joan Rivers, just another celebrity liberal living the high life.
