SAN DIEGO, CA. Photographer John Monti, was violently attacked and robbed on Saturday, November 18, 2006 at 11am on Rancho Penasquitos Blvd. under the Route 56 overpass where dozens of day laborers gather each morning to illegally solicit work. He had been taking pictures of the day laborers to show how employers illegally employing them perpetuate a large camp of illegal squatters between Rancho Penasquitos Blvd and Black Mountain Rd. on Route 56.

A witness said 8 men jumped Monti from behind, knocked him to the ground, stole his camera and cell phone, and attempted to get away. Monti chased down the migrants who took his gear and a fight ensued. Monti was able to recover his camera and phone. Police responded and are now looking for 8 suspects for assault, battery, and robbery. SDPD’s Northern Division is investigating this attack as a hate crime and can provide more details of the attack. Two local news crews also stopped by soon after to interview a bloodied Mr. Monti.

The San Diego Minutemen have seen a drastic increase in violence among day laborers, most of whom are illegal immigrants. This is the third documented attack in San Diego County in the past two months. SDMM urgently calls on Mike Unzueta, head of ICE in San Diego to immediately resume sweeps of these public sites to remove dangerous criminals that are hiding in plain sight and terrorizing citizens all over San Diego County.

You would hope they'd do something about it because it's getting worse and many are threatning it will get worse.

I have said it before and Ill say it again. I sure feel for the American Citizens in California, and all of the SW States alread being completely over-run by illegal Immigrants. Even a high percentage of their political office holders are MORE beholding to the illegals than the citizens since Mexico is where they even hail from and I think they are in on the subersive plot for Aztlan.

While even in the heartland we are feeling the ill effects of the illegals daily with added crime, foreign language being used in all aspects of our daily lives, and all of the 3rd world squalor that comes with them. It is bad here, I can't imagine what it must be like out west.

When will our government act?
I can't believe that our leaders want to see America become a 3rd world country.
Too bad these filth don't invade the gated communities our leaders live in, you would see action then.

What will happen to the States where citizens of European decent are ALREADY a minority if their politicos vote against Americans and for the rabble...man I fear we have already lost that part of the country.

This attack needs to be called in to Lou Dobbs and all the radio talk show host out there, this is only going to get worse. the senators and congressmen from that state all need to be notified right now!

This does not surprise me as many of them do get violent on a regular basis. It doesn't matter if they are legal or not. I see it alot as there are alot of them in Miami. We pulled one legal over in Kendal as he was going over 20 miles per hour over the speed limit. He refused to sign the traffic ticket and was ready to beat up the police officer once he was removed from the vehicle. The only reason he stopped was because he saw me in the car and was afraid that I would use my gun. In my condo complex we numerous legals and illegals and they are always ready to fight over the smallest things. I seen 4 of them go after a security guard after he told them to move their vehicle from a fire zone and that they aren't allowed to do brake jobs on the property. The security guard was unarmed and was intimidated and left. I had 6 Mexicans in a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom condo across from me and the 2 males almost beat up my neighbor who told one of their mothers to throw the garbage down the garbage chute as the containers are for recycling newspapers, bottles and cans. I ran into my unit got my police radio and gun to stop it before it escalated.

When there is an unregulated system in which the employees are selected by open call there frequently results an atmosphere of intimidation. The stronger potential employees or those who can form groups prevent others from being in a position where they can benefit from employer selection.

Violence happens at day labor pick up points between those seeking work.

It would seem like their attitude is that they don't have to obey anything or anybody...and its starts at the border. But maybe not so..is this behavior by these latins the reason why Mexico is a dictatorship (as much as it's claimed to be a democracy, Mexico is too corrupt not to be a dictatorship)? The govenment there has to 'lock down' basic rights to justice alnd other benefits of democracy in order to maintain peace throughout the public (of what there is!).

Its like the govenment knows if it lets up on its people, crime will rise out of sight, becuase that's the way Mexicans are..hotheaded..without logic or reason..just act out. The NAU extremists will have us live with this foul attitude among our neighbors that would be.

The underlying message to me is that they go after people in numbers, rarely one on one. When they get their little posses together they think they can beat, stab, shoot people into submission.
This has been a well known method of operation with these culturally opposite illegals for a long time. They seem to operate on the power and control by numbers rule.

Funny, I live in San Diego, and not one single news outlet reported on this story. Oh wait, that's right, they only report stories when illegals are the victims.

San Diego is one of the epi-centers of the illegal invasion, yet every news outlet has their heads so far up their you-know-whats it's frightening. Last week two major hit and runs accidents occured, resulting in deaths, but the one involving an illegal alien, previously busted four times for DUI was totally ignored. The other incident, with a white college student was lead story, headline news on every channel. Now both incidents were tragic and both deserve stiff punishment under the law and media attention, but why was the story with the illegal not mentioned by any of the news outlets? Not a single one? One guess.
