U.S. Senate: Illegal aliens must commit three DUI’s before they can be deported

On Thursday, the Senate Judiciary Committee approved a measure which would make three DUI convictions an aggravated felony, and a deportable offense. Sen. Charles Grassley (R-IA) introduced the legislative action as an amendment to the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2011 (S. 1925).

Sen. Grassley’s original amendment called for the policy to be applied retroactively to all DUIs. Expressing the urgency for such a policy, Grassley cited the case of Sister Denise Mosier who was killed by Carlos A. Martinelly Montano, a drunk driving illegal alien in Virginia in 2010. It was Martinelly Montano’s third DUI in five years.LINK`http`www.examiner.com/immigration-reform-in-national/illegal-alien-convicted-of-murdering-nun-virginia`color: rgb(62, 114, 167); `LINK

However, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy (D-VT) objected to the retroactive portion of the amendment , saying it "goes against the sense of overall fairness" and instead, offered his own amendment which removed the retroactive clause. The Committee then passed the measure by a vote of 11-7.

It now moves to the full Senate.

    So, what does this mean?

Effectively, if the bill passes and is signed into law, the federal government will only consider an illegal alien DUI offender for deportation, after he/she has accrued three convictions.

That’s three convictions recorded after the bill becomes law.

What's next? An IA has to commit and be convicted of 3 rapes or murders before becoming deport-able?

Everywhere I look, evil is on the throne and reigns.

Whatever happened to the Lord of heaven and earth - "Lo, I am with you always"?
Has He that restrains man's evil behavior been taken out of the way?
Or is it just my evil eye and the knowledge of good and evil gone too far?
One man's terrorist is another man's undocumented worker.

Unless we enforce laws against illegal aliens today,
tomorrow WE may wake up as illegals.

The last word: illegal aliens are ILLEGAL!

Amazing believe it or not...!!! who these politicians work for? it seems they are elected by illegals. Many American citizens could be killed by these scum bags, but no worries the 3rd time they will be deported, and 2 or 3 months later they will be back to have another drink.

RELATED ALIPAC OBAMA'S UNCLE OMAR News ..

'Uncle Omar' amendment would send drunk driving aliens home

America’s favorite drunk-driving illegal alien uncle could be on his way home if he continues his drunk driving ways.

At its Feb. 2 meeting, the Senate Judiciary Committee voted 18-0 to pass an amendment by Sen. Charles E. Grassley (R.-Iowa), which would change current statutes to make habitual drunk driving cause for deportation, but Democrats voted to strike language that would have made the provision retroactive. Habitual drunk driving is defined as having three DUI convictions.

If it was retroactive, it would mean bittersweet homecomings for many out-of-status visitors to our shores.
