Cuban Dead In Smuggling Attempt
The wet foot/dry foot policy is legal but smuggling is an illegal operation. That is the reason I am posting this. Many of us are sick of Cubans being smuggled here as to many of us it is no different than the smuggling operations involving Mexicans, Central Americans, Eastern Europeans or Asians. In fact rafts or floating vehicles that were used in the past are no longer seen but rather a group of people on shore and amazing enough many have relatives on scene waiting with them for police and immigration to arrive. There have even been relatives that called to police about their relatives and other Cubans making land. This is a double standard which must stopped.

A Cuban migrant died on Wednesday morning after Customs and Border Protection agents and the Coast Guard intercepted the vessel he was traveling on.
Authorities say Customs and Border Protection spotted the three vessels 45 miles south of Key Largo. The Coast Guard intercepted them at about 11 p.m. Tuesday.
The largest vessel carried 33 Cuban migrants. Seven suspected smugglers were traveling in the other two vessels.
The man suffered head injuries during the chase, said Nick Ameen, a Coast Guard spokesman.
After authorities stopped the vessels, Coast Guard officers rendered aid to the injured man. They first performed CPR, and when unsuccessful, transported the man in a helicopter. After landing at Opa-locka Airport, ambulance personnel on the ground pronounced him dead at 3 a.m. Wednesday.
Authorities are holding 32 migrants and seven smuggling suspects on board a Coast Guard cutter while immigration authorities determine their next location.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
