The dangers of Mexico-bashing
Another story in which Mexico is portrayed as the poor innocent victim, while the United States is viewed as the evil oppressor. I guess it doesn't matter that Mexico has encouraged 20 million of its citizens to cross our borders illegally. You think that might have something to do with our "negative attitude" towards Mexico? I was not aware of any "Mexico bashing" going on in this country, especially from our politicians. If anything, it's been just the opposite.
There is also a comments section after the article...
A CENTURY ago Porfirio DÃ*az, a Mexican dictator, lamented the fact that his country was “so far from God and so close to the United Statesâ€Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

It behoves Mexicans to earn that respect. Demanding and threatning don't cut it.

Respect!
Got to earn that and Mexico aint up to my standards. They need to call their illegal aliens home, if they want my respect.
They are a welfare nation. The only reason their economy has improved is because we propped it up all this time. Take away NAFTA, snuff out their drug cartel revenue and all the remitances to Mexico and they would be back to rubbing two sticks together and wandering about the wheel.

When I started reading this and started finding zingers I wondered who this editorial was from. It turns out it is the @hole from the Economist. For such a serious publication it is amazing that they chose someone so biased against Americans to cover what should be unbiased news.
I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

06-20-2008, 12:36 PM #7Over the past couple of years Mexicans have had to watch as their country has been the victim of some decidedly unfriendly treatment from its neighbour.
Could it be because sooooooooo much crime comes from illegal immigrants who sneak into America? Illegal aliens are unwelcome here! If a robber breaks into your home, do you welcome him with gifts and an unending friendship? IT IS CONSIDERED A CRIME TO BREAK INTO SOMEONE'S HOME. So, get out and go home. Apply the legal way or stay in your country.RIP Butterbean! We miss you and hope you are well in heaven.-- Your ALIPAC friends

What came first, the chicken or the egg???
We would not have a "drug problem" if Mexico hadn't supplied it in the first place! No supply-no problems!

Northerners in the U.S. Bash southerners, West Coast Bashes East Coast.
The U.S Bashes Mexico, Mexico Bashes Guatemala and so on and so forth.
The question is, does Mexico deserve the bashing? Yes say I.
Guatemala would be quick to say that Mexico bashes their country by not allowing its citizens to freely migrate through Mexico as they move to the great El Norte.
