We need a congressional investigation into the following account. And we need presidential candidates traveling to the border ASAP. Of course, the underreporting of crime and illegal immigation is part of the plan to take the public's focus off the border and the issue.
The following was received by email. And, it tracks with other accounts I have heard from boots on the ground.

This article goes way back and covers a lot of years and several presidents.
Our estimates in the late 1990's were less than five percent of the aliens detected were being apprehended with 95 plus percent got-a-ways.NO AMNESTY
Don't reward the criminal actions of millions of illegal aliens by giving them citizenship.
