TIME is running out for the Donegal Priest who has been told he must leave the country by July 1 because he has been out of status in South Dakota for the past number of years.
Fr. Cathal Gallagher, 58, is to leave the United States next Tuesday if the Department of Homeland Security doesn’t re-open his case in time. The Catholic Church has THOUSANDS of priests & nuns on religious visas in the US and they know the procedures to keep their status legal. Someone dropped the ball on this priest, wonder why? Oh well, he needs to go back and re-apply if he wants to come back in.
