U.S. Border Patrol Agents Arrest Man with Extensive Criminal History

El Paso, Texas – U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the El Paso Station arrested a man over the weekend after he entered the United States illegally. Agents determined the man is a convicted sexual offender with a lengthy criminal history.

On May 30, Border Patrol agents working in El Paso observed an individual running from the U.S/Mexico border towards the neighborhoods in the County Coliseum area. Agents were quick to respond and were able to apprehend the subject without incident. The subject admitted that he entered the country illegally and that he was a Mexican national. The individual, later identified as 56 year old Francisco Javier Saavedra-Enciso, was taken into custody.

[b]Record checks indicated that Saavedra-Enciso is a Mexican citizen with an extensive criminal history. He has over 13 criminal charges ranging from “Lewd and Lascivious Act with a Childâ€
