FORT MOJAVE - Three local suspects were arrested Sunday morning and 13 illegal aliens captured in a raid on a Fort Mojave home.

Lorenzo Perez Leyva, 28, a 17-year-old, both of Fort Mojave and Marcus Antonio Yepiz-Orozo, 19, of Bullhead City were charged with assault and drug charges, Mohave County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Trish Carter said.

Leyva was arrested for felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor false reporting. Yepiz-Orozo was arrested for felony possession of narcotic drugs.

The 17-year-old was arrested for felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor false reporting, Carter said.

Leyva and the teen are accused of hitting and kicking a 28-year-old man at a residence in the 4400 block of Puerto Verde Drive then leaving before deputies arrived.

Deputies spotted the suspect's vehicle at a residence in the 4200 block of La Calzada and arrested the pair.

During the search of the La Calzada residence, deputies found 13 illegal immigrants. U. S. Custom Enforcement Border agents interviewed the illegal immigrants for deportation.

While customs agents interviewed the illegal immigrants, a small amount of white powdery substance was allegedly found in Yepiz-Orozo's wallet, Carter said.

The substance field tested positive for cocaine, according to police reports. Yepiz-Orozo was arrested and booked into jail.

At first, Leyva allegedly provided deputies with a false name, Carter said.

The teen, who provided deputies with a false date of birth, was issued a juvenile referral and was later released to an adult

What does "released to an adult" mean? Wasn't he an illegal immigrant? If so, that could mean is family are also illegal. I think the whole family should have been deported.
