    Illegal Migration from Mexico

    C-SPAN 2 - Jan 8, 2007

    C-Span -- January 8, 2007

"The most explosive part of this, I guess, is the question about that we all understand that we have all of these illegal immigrants - this is the most sophisticated country in the world. Why can't we or why don't we stop them? And the analysis which Gordon is offering is I think exactly correct, because we are, in a sense, not quite trying."

Perhaps one aspect of this is that the nation is bankrupt, not only do we have a national deficit that is so high that it can never be paid but the government owes the baby boomers trillions of dollars in social security and the first of the baby boomers will start retiring next year. They cannot possibly pay the baby boomers and it makes no difference how many immigrants they allow to come to this country it will make no difference. Illegal immigrants will take back more than they will ever pay in, it is a losing situation and will only make matters worse bringing in more immigrants. This is not the way to solve that problem. Another way to possibly try to solve the problem is to build up a good relation with China and get the chinese people to invest in America by loaning us money since the chinese tend to save 50% of their pay. So we would be deeper into debt to china than we already are. The elderly are not willing to give up social security so another possible solution would be to raise taxes to possibly 50% or more but if they do that the working class will emigrate to other countries. Does any of this sound familiar? It is not just about cheap labor although corporate america seems to think they are reaping benefits from it. It is about a combination of several things including a new world order but they must try to save the country from going into a deep recession or a major depression. The Feds warned them just this week that need to work on the deficit and control the budget. Amnesty and illegal immigration will only make matters worse because it comes with a hefty price tag that America cannot afford and will only be able to pay for a very short time.
