U.S. Border Patrol agents from the Yuma sector conducted an operation at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas this week, apprehending more than 100 people.

Border Patrol agents are aiming to detect and stop illegal immigration activities taking place at McCarran.

It is the second such operation at McCarran this year. A similar one in January netted more than 200 apprehensions.

The Yuma sector's area of responsibility encompasses more than 175,000 square miles. It includes western Arizona, part of California from the border north along the Colorado River and the southeastern third of Nevada.
