The attendance is down so the revenues are down.

The priest admits that a portion of his congregation are Mexican citizens, as he calls them Mexicans. This law will shut down the pro-illegal group's, many of which are National, ability to manipulate and lobby for tax payer funded benefits for illegals.

I am all for job creation but people that make a living by advocating the subjugation of our laws and seek to gain influence through the sheer numbers of illegal foreign nationals weakening our economic structure and skewing our elections by voting illegally in national elections - need to be put out of work. Immigration Law & The Church

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) – Alabama's new immigration law is brewing a storm of controversy. One thing both sides agree on: this is the broadest and strictest law in the country.

La Gracia in Center Point is the only Spanish speaking Episcopal Church in the area. But, there's a new fear in the congregation.

Rev. Dr. Hernan Afanador says, “There is a lot of fear in the people, the Hispanics and the Mexicans, they don't want to be deported by the immigration authorities.

The reverend says on any given Sunday church attendance was at about 100 members, however ever since the immigration legislation was introduced, that number has drastically declined.
