Utah, as well as New Hampshire and Montana, seem to be the states leading the way towards restoring states rights - as least as much as possible as long as the fraudulent Seventeenth Amendment remains in place. Last week Utah made news on their stand to repudiate the federal "No Child Left Behind" Act with eight more states looking to follow their fine example. The latest bombshell to come out of Utah's State Legislature is long overdue. They have passed a resolution to Congress discouraging participation in the Free Trade Area of the Americas. (FTAA)

The opposition against the FTAA is simply enormous, the same as it was with NAFTA and GATT. However, it made no difference what we the people wanted because both of those unconstitutional treaties were passed; NAFTA by a lame duck Congress. New world order facilitator, George Bush, Jr., is pushing hard for ratification of the FTAA. This move by the Utah State Legislature is extraordinary, bold and about time.

However, it would not be necessary were it not for the fraudulent ratification of the Seventeenth Amendment. Prior to this fraud upon the people, the state legislatures were guaranteed equal protection and representation. See Art. 1, Section 3 which reads in part: The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each state, chosen by the legislature thereof;

The framers of the Constitution were brilliant with wisdom far beyond the times. The people would be represented by elected representatives in the House and the states would have equal representation by appointing two U.S. Senators per state by their state legislature. This would ensure that the people were represented and the states had their own representatives in the U.S. Senate. With the fraudulent ratification of the Seventeenth Amendment, the states lost their suffrage rights and have been stomped on by the feds ever since - even though they have always had the power and authority to say no - except when it comes to treaties.

Constitutionally, every state is guaranteed a Republican form of government, however, they may not enter into treaties: Art. 1, Section 10 of the U.S. Constitution states in part: No state shall enter into any treaty, alliance, or confederation;

The president may ask the Senate to ratify a treaty: Art. II, Section 2 says in part: He shall have power, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, to make treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur;

This is why it is critical the fraud of the Seventeenth Amendment is exposed and corrected. Without the Seventeenth Amendment, Utah's U.S. Senators would already be in Congress fighting against the FTAA and would vote against it. Tragically for this nation, U.S. Senators for almost a century now have represented their own interests ($$), the "interests of their constituents" who vote them in office with promises of unlimited candy, and the states have been dying ever since. This resolution by the Utah State Legislature should be undertaken by every state of the Union.

The Utah State Legislature should also force the issue of the fraud of the Seventeenth Amendment by appointing two U.S. Senators and sending them to Washington, DC. This would finally force the fraud which transpired back in 1913 into the courts where it will finally be exposed. If a state is happy with their current U.S. Senators, they would keep them, the only difference is they would be appointed and could be fired by the state at any time. If a state doesn't want their two U.S. Senators, they can replace them constitutionally. This can be done in an ordered fashion and the benefit to the people of this country will be so fantastic, everyone will wonder why it wasn't done long ago - except for the rotten, corrupt senators which get the boot.

As for the reaction by Congress to Utah's resolution, I feel confident in saying that they will ignore it and do what they want, which is please their big corporate donors and get more political scratch from Mr. Bush who wants this treaty ratified as bad as he wants to take his next breath. We need to get just one state to appoint two U.S. Senators and force a showdown on the Seventeenth Amendment - and it must be done before the counterfeit Senate votes on the FTAA.

Please don't send excuses to my e-mail box about why this can't be done. It can and God willing, it will, but it takes guts, persistence and the will of the people of the states. Excuses are nothing more than sustenance for slaves who can't hear their chains clanking - yet. Operation Clean Sweep is well underway. You can be part of it and America's destiny.

And, by the way, if you live in any of these states, please take the time to contact your state legislator and senator and thank them for standing up and fighting tyranny. They need to hear from the people of their state. It's important for them to know the people are behind the courageous stand they are taking.

There is one correction that I would make to the resolution below. Since the unconstitutional NAFTA was ratified, America has lost 1.4 million textile jobs alone and almost 5,000 factories have closed. In the resolution below it states 900,000 jobs lost over NAFTA. With all due respect, the drafters of this resolution need to get the historical statistics on job loss or just call Lou Dobbs at CNN. God bless that man, he's got all the numbers which prove how devastating NAFTA, GATT and "out-sourcing" have been for our working force.

This resolution: urges the United States Congress to oppose any agreement for the United States to enter into a Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA); and urges that the United States not enter into the FTAA until the nation has had more experience and greater understanding of the North American Free Trade Agreement and the World Trade Organization.

Be it resolved by the Senate of the state of Utah: S.R. 1 01-19-05 3:05 PM

WHEREAS, the United States of America has always been the world leader in pushing for free trade, which is a hallmark of our capitalistic society;

WHEREAS, free trade only thrives where there is a level playing field of government regulations between trading partners;

WHEREAS, the 1993 North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) was supposed to bring additional prosperity to the United States and level the playing field with Canada and Mexico, thus perpetuating free trade between our nations;

WHEREAS, notwithstanding the good intentions of NAFTA, our nation has suffered the loss of almost 900,000 jobs due to NAFTA, many of them coming in the manufacturing sector;

WHEREAS, manufacturing jobs in the United States have plunged from 19.3 million in 1980 to only about 14.6 million today, in large part because of these types of trade issues;

WHEREAS, the United States has gone from a trade surplus with Mexico prior to NAFTA to a substantial trade deficit;

WHEREAS, the United States is a current member of the World Trade Organization (WTO), which has been called "The United Nations of World Trade";

WHEREAS, the United States consistently bows to the wishes of the WTO, only proving the words of Texas Congressman Ron Paul to be prophetic: "The most important reason why we should get out [of the WTO] is to maintain our nation's sovereignty. We should never deliver to any international governing body the authority to dictate what our laws should be. And this is precisely the kind of power that has been given to the WTO";

WHEREAS, both the WTO and NAFTA, through the use of trade tribunals, now claim the sovereign authority to overrule decisions of American courts and make awards to foreign businesses for violations of trade agreements;

WHEREAS, Abner Mikva, a former chief judge on the federal appellate bench and a former congressman, has stated: "If Congress had known there was anything like this in NAFTA, they never would have voted for it";

WHEREAS, the United States is considering entering into a new 34-member Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA) in 2005; and

WHEREAS, based upon the experience that the United States has had with NAFTA and the WTO, United States membership in the planned FTAA would increase manufacturing flight in the state of Utah and throughout the United States:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the state of Utah respectfully but firmly urges all members of the United States Congress to vote no on any agreement for the United States to enter into a Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA).

I really hope that all 50 states will do what Utah, New Hampshire and Montana are doing. Just say no to the NWO and the Great American give away to illegal aliens.

I agree with your "wish and a dream", but I will not hold my breath. I am doing everything I can to "help them along". This does require action, and action from as many people as possible.

If the people of this country are not willing to wake up and BE HEARD then all may simply be lost, since the pollies will do NOTHING unless we force them to.
