I think this sentence makes a lot more sense than imprisoning the guy. At least this way we are getting some of the money back. (Of course, being on the loose he might find a way to still do it...more secretively) I think every state has illegal aliens in the roofing business; I see them all over the place, here. Construction remodeling was a traditional fall-back occupation when someone was out of a regular job. I guess the illegals are making use of it that way, too. That really s---s. We had a big truck manufacturing plant that went out of business (actually moved to Mexico) last year just before the election. Normally those guys would have done construction jobs until they found another regular job. I hope they wise up to what the Democrats are doing to them. Ironically, I heard about this at a big liberal Rally.

You aren't kidding! When we had storms here in town and roofs needed repair, people hired mostly illegals (MW, you know they are illegal when they speak NO English, because you MUST know SOME English to become a LEGAL citizen) and today for the first time in a LONG time, I saw 2 white guys repairing a roof. I almost cried! I haven't seen that in YEARS since illegals STOLE those jobs from Americans.

He profited by way more than $183k I suspect. Did his illegal employees have kids in the schools? Stay at home moms? Labor & Delivery costs?? Anchor babies collecting the welfare for the whole family? Don't forget to add those costs to what WE ended up paying so this scumbag could make his "profit"!

Harboring illegal aliens gets roofing company owner 3 years on probation
Bolivar roofing company owner also pleads guilty.
    news-leader staff • January 27, 2010

Comments (5) A The owner of a Springfield roofing company was sentenced in federal court Tuesday for harboring illegal aliens.

Hilario Perez-Cereceres, 44, of Springfield, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Richard E. Dorr to three years of probation. Perez-Cereceres, a native of Mexico, is a permanent lawful resident of the U.S, according to a news release by U.S. Attorney Beth Phillips.
Perez-Cereceres pleaded guilty Oct. 22 to harboring illegal aliens for the purpose of financial gain.
Perez-Cereceres admitted that he harbored four Mexican nationals at his residence.
These illegal aliens were employed at his roofing company, Perez Roofing, as well as eight additional Mexican nationals who were also illegal aliens.
Perez-Cereceres' roofing company was subcontracted by Taylor Made Roofing in Bolivar.
In a separate but related case, the owner of Taylor Made Roofing, Russell D. Taylor, 31, of Bolivar, pleaded guilty to hiring illegal aliens.
Taylor admitted that, from August 2006 through April 2008, he hired or contracted to obtain the labor of illegal aliens.
Taylor also agreed to forfeit to the government $185,363 -- the proceeds obtained as a result of the offense.
Under the terms of the plea agreement, the government and Taylor agreed that a fine of $36,000 was appropriate.
The amount representing a $3,000 fine for each of the 12 illegal aliens who worked under the supervision of Juan Pacheco-Herrera.
Pacheco-Herrera has pleaded guilty and been sentenced, in another separate but related case, to harboring illegal aliens.
This case was investigated by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Greene County Sheriff's Department.
